Diversity and Inclusion

This award recognises organisations, individuals or a team that have delivered a project or initiative that makes a significant and meaningful contribution to improving and increasing equality, diversity, and inclusion within their organisation, their team or the engineering and manufacturing sector as a whole.

Guidance

  • Judges are looking for applications that demonstrate a meaningful commitment to improving and increasing equality, diversity, and inclusion within their business or wider industry, with proven and evidenced based results.

Other considerations when completing the nomination form:

  • Share your goals, how you measure them and progress made since implementation. Has your organisation published these goals to promote accountability?
  • Are you working towards attainment of an equality, diversity and inclusion accreditation and how do you feel this will help you on your journey?
  • How have you created an inclusive workplace culture; taken steps to recruit and include  under-represented  groups. What steps have you taken to embed equity and inclusion in the way that your organisation is training and developing diverse talent?
  • What action have you taken to ensure your workforce demographics are representative of your client base, local community and sector?
  • Can you demonstrate doing things differently by incorporating equality, diversity and inclusion values and behaviours in a way that delivers a positive impact on organisational/sector culture.
